Rastatt is a family- and child-friendly city. This also includes demand-oriented daycare for children. With the kindergarten demand plan (PDF) (1.3 MB), the city regularly analyzes whether the currently available places, forms of care and care times are sufficient for the needs of families. The aim is to ensure that all children are brought up to school readiness and - irrespective of their background, educational and financial situation at home - are given the same development opportunities.
Childcare services even for the youngest
In Rastatt, children between the ages of one and three are cared for in 22 facilities in a total of 39 daycare groups. The city thus covers the current demand for children under the age of three.
Offers for children from the age of three are being expanded
Rastatt is a growing city and attracts young families. However, this positive development also presents the city with the challenge of meeting the increasing demand for childcare places for children from the age of three until they start school. The range of childcare places in Rastatt and its districts is therefore being steadily expanded.
