The honorary citizenship is the highest distinction of the city of Rastatt for persons who have rendered outstanding services to the welfare of Rastatt and its citizenship through their work. The award is so exceptional that it should only be given very rarely and to outstanding personalities - this is laid down in the municipal regulations. Only the Lord Mayor and the members of the municipal council have a right of nomination.
Following corresponding resolutions of the Municipal Council, honorary citizenship was most recently awarded to the following personalities:
