Wintersdorf has about 1,900 inhabitants, is located in the southwest of the city and has a direct connection to France thanks to the Rhine bridge. Restored half-timbered houses and colorful orchards characterize the district, which was first mentioned in a document in 799. The adjacent landscape conservation area and the Rhine meadows offer pure nature and a high local recreational value. A part of the cross-border Pamina Rhine Park also passes by Wintersdorf and the Eel Schokker "Heini".
The head of the village of Wintersdorf has been Daniela Schneider since October 20, 2014.
