In Rastatt, people with disabilities should help shape the city and contribute their experience - also and especially in local politics. The inclusion expert group represents their interests and gives people with disabilities a voice and a face.
Chaired by Mayor Hans Jürgen Pütsch, the participation forum, which has around 60 members, meets once a year. Topics are discussed that affect the equal participation of all people in social life in Rastatt. The experts are also regularly involved on their own behalf when it comes to urban design measures, such as the modernization and barrier-free expansion of the Rastatt train station, the planning of barrier-free bus stops or the installation of a guidance system for the blind in municipal buildings.
Anyone who wants to participate and accompany Rastatt on its way to becoming a barrier-free city is welcome at any time. Interested parties can contact the Service Agency Inclusion.
