Seniorenhilfe Rastatt e.V. is committed to helping senior citizens over the age of 80 in Rastatt. Over the course of time, the assistance campaign, which began in 1948, has developed into a beneficial tradition for many people in the city. Volunteers visit elderly citizens at home throughout the year. They take time for conversations, mediate in emergency situations, are contact persons for problems and, in individual cases, also offer practical help with shopping and visits to the authorities.
Bringing joy with events and small gifts
In order to provide seniors with enjoyable hours together, volunteers help organize many of the city's senior events. These include the Christmas and carnival parties, the senior citizens' afternoon and the day of encounters for people with disabilities.
In addition, before Christmas, the volunteers visit more than 500 Rastatt seniors living in nursing homes in Rastatt and the surrounding area and surprise them with a small gift.
Every donation helps
It is only because of the great willingness to help and donate that the volunteers of Seniorenhilfe are able to distribute money and vouchers to needy senior citizens every year at Christmas. Or bring them joy with the events.
