Exhibition extended!
Due to the positive response, the exhibition "Mona Hakimi-Schüler - Talking about the Revolution" will be extended until January 17, 2025. Visitors will therefore have the opportunity to experience the artist's impressive works for longer.
As part of the exhibition, a catalog was published by artinflow on 8.11.2024. It can be purchased at the Städtische Galerie Fruchthalle and here. There will be a book presentation in the presence of the artist on January 17, 2025.
The exhibition "Mona Hakimi-Schüler - Talking about the Revolution" at the Städtische Galerie Fruchthalle focuses on a current revolutionary upheaval. The artist Mona Hakimi-Schüler, who grew up in Tehran and now lives in Berlin, uses a wide range of artistic forms of expression to address the political situation in Iran and the role of women in society. Her own life story is also reflected in her works and the artist herself appears again and again in her works.
Mona Hakimi-Schüler's extensive artistic spectrum includes oil paintings, drawings, collages and sculptures. In her works, she not only interweaves elements of Iranian culture, but also thematizes protest, violence and growing up in a deeply patriarchal society. Her works also tell of resistance and the courage of people who risk their lives to rebel against structures of injustice.
